Educational Meetings

MVS hosts four local meetings annually around Michigan:

Winter Meeting
Held on February 6, 2025 at the Sheraton Novi, this event emphasizes and encourages early-career vascular surgeons, trainees, and students to present their work. It’s an excellent platform for sharing ideas and research.
Spring Meeting
Took place on May 14, 2025 at Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, MI. In conjunction with BMC2 Vascular Surgery Physician Meeting, this meeting combined quality metrics and presentations from national speakers.
Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society Annual Meeting & Scholarship
The Michigan Vascular Society (MVS) is offering scholarships to attend the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society Annual Meeting in Cincinatti, OH, on Sept 18-20th, 2025, to medical students within the state of Michigan. See the information below.
Social Meeting
This is a fun and exciting event to bring your loved ones for an evening with fun and adventure, happing Friday, October 2, 2025 at Andiamos Restaurant in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Fall Meeting
This is a combined BMC2/VS/SVS/VQI Physician Meeting on October 23, 2025 at DoubleTree Suites Fort Shelby in Detroit, MI.

Travel Support for Students

MVS Travel Award: A call for applications will be sent via email in mid-summer, allowing the opportunity to receive an award which provides $1500 to boost your travel expenses for attendance at the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society Annual meeting.

The Michigan Vascular Society (MVS) is offering scholarships to attend the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society Annual Meeting in Cincinatti, OH, on Sept 18-20th, 2025, to medical students within the state of Michigan.

This scholarship will be a reimbursement in the amount of $1,500.00 per student and is to be used for travel. Registration may be performed on site at the meeting and is complimentary for students.
